Instrument microphone for Acoustic Guitars, Ukuleles, Mandolins, and Dobros.
Very faithful response, exemplary natural sound
Developed under the direction of Ludovic Lanen with the help of talented guitarist Clément Garcin, the GL21 is specially designed for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic guitars, ukuleles, mandolins and dobro.
- Equipped with a remarkably fine electret cell, it will capture all the dynamics and nuances of your playing.
Supplied with its mini-XLR/XLR devolver adapter (48V phantom power required for wired use).
Quick and easy to assemble
Prodipe preferred to design two clamps of different lengths:
The first, straight, is designed for all acoustic guitars, so that the sound can be picked up without being too close to the soundhole.
The 2nd, smaller and angled, is suitable for smaller instruments such as ukuleles and mandolins.
Note that this mounting system gives you maximum freedom in positioning the GL21 pick-up for playing comfort and proximity to suit your needs.
As well as simplifying the mechanics (anyone who's ever lost a small screw on a dark stage will understand), these two clips ensure a secure fix without damaging or scratching your instrument.
An electret cell capable of handling 140dB
In a microphone, the part that cannot tolerate mediocrity is the cell.
Prodipe has developed, in France, a remarkably fine electret cell capable of handling 140dB, which will capture all the dynamics and nuances of your playing.
Its great linearity will perfectly respect the timbre and sonority of your instrument.
Can also be used in a UHF version: connect to the Prodipe UHF DSP B210 Solo or UHF DSP B210 Duo systems (specially adapted to the impedance of the 21 Lanen cartridge). See more.
